In 2005, Dr. Lucy Meyer began her teaching career as a clinical adjunct faculty member at Dickinson State University (DSU). From fall 2006 to 2016, Dr. Meyer served as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at DSU. Dr. Meyer began teaching fundamentals of nursing and psychiatric mental health in the Associate of Applied Science in Practical Nursing (AASPN) Program. In 2010, Dr. Meyer began teaching community health in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program. As of July 2021, Dr. Meyer began serving as the Chair of the Department of Nursing, and in addition teaches leadership and management courses within the BSN program.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Meyer has assisted with planning, coordinating and leading several service learning experiences to Guatemala with interprofessional faculty and students. She has a passion for volunteering and service and believes in sharing this experience with students and others.
